Millcroft Inn & Spa is proud to be home to 25 acres of stunning maple trees. Each tree is carefully tapped to extract the all-important sap. The sap is transported to our sugar shack, where it’s boiled to evaporate water and concentrated to the sweet maple flavour we all love.

The tour starts off with a walk along a short trail surrounded by towering maple trees. Amidst this natural beauty, your tour guide will share the age-old tradition of syrup collection and the meticulous process of tapping maple trees. Once you return to the Headwaters Restaurant patio, you’ll be greeted by a warm fire and the aroma of maple syrup. You’ll end your tour with a taffy-making demonstration from one of our expert chefs using fresh, warm maple syrup.
